I LOVE YOU

How many times do you say those words? Not enough, I’m sure. Be sure to tell your parents you love them today and every day. It’s so simple to become so busy we forget to say those words, but we do. When I talk to my children, that’s one thing I say before I hang up the phone, “I love you.” They say the same thing back. Sometimes people don’t know how we feel. It’s better to tell them.
How would you like to go through life thinking no one loved you? It happens. Maybe you are loved, but your parents don’t know how to tell you. My husband told me he never remembered being told he was loved, but his parents showed him in other ways. I feel we need those words said. Maybe we need to open the door and let it be know how we feel. If we start the chain, the others will follow.
The Bible is clunked full of love. Moses love God and the children of Israel. David has a strong love for God. The prophets tried so hard to show the people to love God and do what was right. Then in the New Testament we have Mary and her love for Christ. Christ had such a love for his fellowman. He preached the gospel and wanted everyone to obey God’s command. That was love. He even died on the cross for our sins because he loved us, even us today, so much. Then the apostles loved the gospel so much and were killed because of their love for God and their teachings.
Today, do you love God enough to sit through church services, or to take time to read your Bible daily? How much love do you really have? It takes more than saying the words to do what God wants us to do. It takes dedication. Just like a family, we have to be a part of the family and love everyone. The same is with the church. We have to be a part of the church and love everyone in the church.
Love is only four letters, but it is a big word. Sometimes it’s hard to do. Other times it’s easy. It’s easy to love those we care about, what about those we don’t care about? Make a point to love them too. You will be blessed more than they will. Be amazed and see what it will do to you to learn to love them.
Remember to say those three words often, I love you.
I appreciate your sense of humour with your blogs.
