ALTERNATIVE TO THE PROM

This year, as every year, Walnut Grove Church of Christ had an alternative to the prom. It was a very nice Junior/Senior Banquet with all the trimmings. The teens that attended enjoyed it very much.

I’m sure you are curious to what they did. They ate at a nice restaurant, and from what I heard, they ate alligator. Then they strolled through town in their dressy attire. After that they had ice cream. That all sounds good to me, except the alligator. They had good clean fun.

Why did the church decide to do this? One thing is to have a special evening for the juniors and seniors. The other was to have something beside the prom.  (more…)
